Day 221

The last Morning in Portland....

Before we head off direction New Jersey / New York, we were able to load our DeLoreans ourself at the port area into the shipping container. First of all we wiped and dried the cars as much as possible, because it had been raining heavily again overnight.

After loading we drove with our rental car to New Jersey, where we stay the next two days again in the same Super 8 Motel as on April 6th.

Day 220

11.04.2016 Portland/Maine (USA)

Today we drove to the harbor twice, in the morning to deliver the Delorean keys, because according to preliminary information we were not allowed to be on the premises of the company during the customs inspection of the cars . Then we got a message from our Shipping Agent, that the customs allowed our presence yet.

We arrived on time at 3:30 p.m., but everything was all done already. Only the chassis numbers were checked and the carnets (vehicle passes) got stamped. Now the 'paperwork' is completed, tomorrow morning we have an appointment for loading the DeLorean into the ship containers.
