Today we lived the motto of the Delorean World Tour 'Worldwide Encounters / Global Encounters' again as well.
After 190 miles driving we met four Delorean owner from Portland (Oregon) and Vancouver (Washington), with whom we had made an appointment by email today.

Steve Maguire from Portland made a contact to the local TV station KGW 8-news beforehand, reporter Rachael Rafanelli and her cameraman also waited for us at the  car park.

The Delorean Drivers from Portland / Vancouver even escorted us around 60 km along the I-5 before we took a break for a common lunch, later we we drove the remaining 180 km to the day's destination Eugene.

There we met Delorean owner Oliver Marquardt from Dusseldorf, who is visiting the US for a few days and will be with us the next three days with his rental car.

Day 172

Finally, we're on the road again!
At 9 o'clock we started from Vancouver to the US border in Blaine.

At the Canadian custom our carnets were stamped at the departure and the entry of the Deloreans was certified, after that we first of all got stuck in the traffic jam before the border. The following entry-procedure was done within 40 minutes, 6 dollars were paid for a stamp in the passport, and the World Tour Team could take country number 17 under the wheels.

Some miles after the border we made our first fuel stop on North American ground, the liter of petrol costs currently around 50 eurocents...

Our destination today was the Delorean workshop DMC Northwest in Seattle/Bellevue, here we were already expected by shop-owner Toby Peterson, Delorean-owner Andrew Wells as well as Oliver and Terry Holler with their time machine (www.tothefuture.org).

After two hours of Delorean-talk and presentation of our World Tour Deloreans we checked in at the nearby Days Inn Motel for the night, before the day ended with a common German-American dinner in a Chinese restaurant.

Our last day in Vancouver!
Today we were able to pick up our passports with issued US visa at the consulate, again many thanks to the US mission in Vancouver, which allows us the accelerated procedure!

After breakfast Andre and Klaus drove back the rental car to Alamo at the airport. During that time Wolfgang checked some adjustments at Andres car.

Later we sat together, discuss the further route through the United States and planned some changes for a few sections due new conditions.

On the evening Volker and Dave visited us, both are Delorean owners from Vancouver.

Our World Tour cars were admired once again before we exchanged our Delorean experience during a common dinner and drinks.
