While the Germans  celebrate their German Unity Day , the World Tour Team made a desert safari. Our driver picked us up with a Toyota Land Cruiser, three other passengers were added from another hotel. At first (as well as on every tourist tour) we made a stop at a souvenir and  refreshment store, before we went on direction desert.

Here we met the first residents of the desert

After half an hour we arrived at a meeting place where approx.  30 - 40 Land Cruisers with tourists were waiting. All cardrivers reduced the wheel air pressure  to get better traction on the sand.

Then our wild ride through the sand dunes started. Sometimes  - at the one or other slip  we saw us lying on the side. Our driver was relaxed behind his steering wheel , later he told us he made this tour 6 times a week.

Not all of our riders got on the permanent forth and back swing and the up and down hill and they squints suspiciously at the prepared plastic bags. After a short break and deep breathing the stomach was fine again and we could go on. But the DWT – Team had a lot of fun.

After about 20 minutes sand rally and more or less pale faces we stopped at sunset in a desert camp, where we were entertained by an Arabic folklore show and a tasty barbecue was waiting for us.
