Sweden: From Arvidsjaur to Lulea
or: Three Deloreans at Polarcircle
Day seven of our tour gave us several variations of the northern Swedish weather, from dry to wet to snow everything was there ...
On the 150km/100 miles to the Polarcircle near the town Jokkmokk we have the opportunity to move our cars in sleet and snow.
We arrived at the Polarcircle, the goal of our tour, around noon with an icy wind and freezing temperatures. As an evidence we left a sticker of the Delorean World Tour at the board.
Unfortunately the kiosk at the Polarcircle was closed and coffee break in the kitchen of the Mercedes G280 was not agreed due to the bad weather. After a photo shoot we went back on the road.
The next two and a half hours to our today's destination, Hotel Nordkalotten in Lulea, we drove in pouring rain. Luckily the weather report for tomorrow looks slightly better ...

Sweden: From Östersund to Arvidsjaur
After starting in Östersund it didn't last long before we reached the far reaches of Sweden. Endless forests, countless, still partially frozen lakes and the view of snowcapped peaks while our 500km/320miles long journey.
Refueling, coffee break and then the journey continues.
Highlight of the day were the encounters with reindeer which grazed on the roadside and didn’t care about the traffic.
Late afternoon we arrived Arvidsjaur and had grilled reindeer and moose meat for dinner.

From Dombas/Norway to Östersund/Sweden
Following the law of averages the day welcomed us with blue skies and sunshine.
After a hearty breakfast prepared by Dagmar, today's route went nearly 1000 meters above sea level through the high plains of Norway. Driving on good roads there were great views of snowcapped peaks and endless plateaus.
After a coffee break for lunch we reached the Swedish border, with also beautiful landscapes and idyllic lakes.
We reached our destination Östersund around 5pm, today we did a technical service to the Deloreans, checked all fluids and grease for the ball joints. Now everything is ready for the next day.
Question of the day: Who finds the troll?

Norway – from Bergen to Dombas or “Nowhere in Norway”
As we woke up today we had the typical Bergen-weather (Bergen is the rainiest city in Europe) - pouring rain.
At 9:30 am the day's stage began wet and led us into the Norwegian mountains.
Despite rain and fog, we were impressed by the beauty of nature. About narrow and steep streets, by ferry over lonely fjords, past steep mountain slopes with high waterfalls and through endless tunnels we went to almost 1000 meters above sea level in the still-snowy mountain regions.
There we drove mile over mile through the white snowscape ...
... until we reached our destination, the small city Dombas and the Dombas-Motell in the evening
After shopping for breakfast next morning we met a real Norwegian Troll in the parking lot ...

Norway - Flekkefjord to Bergen
Yesterday it was raining since arriving in Norway, but on Sunday morning there was bright sunshine and blue sky.
On time at 9:30 am the DeLorean and G280 were loaded and we started on the E39 towards Bergen.
Over impressive streets, passing the famous Norwegian fjords, steep slopes and through countless tunnels led us the route today.
In this beautiful scenerys we took the one or other stop for photo shootings.
Many of the fjords are tunnelled, a ride in the dark tube two kilometers downhill and the same way back uphill.
Two sections of the E39 must be traveled by ferry, and of course, our DeLoreans were attractions at the waiting cars..
From the ferry we saw a lot of salmon farms and had a great view of the still snow-capped mountains.
Late afternoon we reached our destination Bergen. After checking in at the hotel and parking our cars in the nearby parking garage, we explored the pier and looked for a nice restaurant for dinner.
