Travelling broadens the mind, thats why we visited the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation today. Here the history and the evolution of the Islam is presented from the early beginnings till today. A magnificent museum with lots of interesting exhibits, its worth visiting.
In the following we strolled through the nearby district with its colourful shops.
Unfortunately our vessel, the Valerie Schulte has two days of delay and will not leave to Mumbai until Saturday. We booked our flights to India on next Thursday (October 8th). We hope that were back on the Road again not later than October 14th.

09/29/2015 Sharjah - Dubai (Vereinigte Arabische Emirate UAE)
When we already 'stuck' in Dubai, a visit of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, is a must.
We were able to buy Tickets for the tour easy without any registration. Once paid we were welcomed in the lobby area with coffee from our guide. Then we went up with a fast elevator (10 meters-30 feet / second) up to the 125th floor, the lower observation deck. From there we switched to a smaller elevator and thus the last meters to the 148th floor, the highest floor accessible for tourists.
Here we had a breathtaking view of the surrounding area; up there we felt easily the fluctuating movements of the Burj Khalifa.
After photo shooting and a walk along the floor to ceiling windows we were spoiled with drinks and sweet snacks before we went back down with a breakneck speed.
On the way back we stopped at our shipping agencies office and picked up our stamped carnet / car-passes. The cargo ship is coming tomorrow, Wednesday, to Dubai and one or two days later it is on the way, with the Deloreans in the containers, towards Mumbai.

The preliminary last day with our Deloreans …
Our shipping agent Hatim appointed us for 10:30 am to the Container Port Jebel Ali Gate 2. Against our expectation everything was fine , at the E11 highway the exit was signposted and we found our gate right away, after a few minutes Hatim arrived also.
As always first the paperwork had to be done, at the port office we got a permission pass to access to port area , a reflective vest , helmet and safety shoes are mandatory. Reflective vests we had in our cars , helmets were borrowed and 'suitable shoes' we got at the port entrance gate.
We drove our three Deloreans into the area of the shipping company,
then a customs officer arrived and he certified with seal and signature that the cars can leave the emirates. Back to the port office, the shipping documents were completed and the containers assigned. With a little persuasion ($) from our agent Hatim we got the permission to drive the Deloreans into the container by ourselves. Back at the freight area the opened containers waited for their load.
Carefully we drove our cars into the big tin boxes, the port workers then lashed everything professionally, so that nothing can slip during transport.
Afterwards Hatim drove us back to Sharjah and he promised to inform us about the ship , departure and arrival by email. Our final conclusion: Very professional handling from the Cambay Global Shipping Services LLC , especially the qualified assistance by shipping agent Hatim Havalchi.
