11/23/2015 Darwin (Australia)
Our first morning in Australia welcomed us with a bright blue sky and a great view from the hotel balcony.
Yesterday on the drive from the airport into the city, we figured out that the taxi prices here in Darwin are quite expensive, so we just decided to rent a car for the next week and booked it this morning, it will be cheaper than a week of taxi bills and we are also more flexible.
The car rental station is located in the city, just 1 mile away from the hotel. There we picked up our blue Hyundai I20, of course it was immediately marked as a DeLorean World Tour operation-vehicle.
The first trip led to PJ's Customs Brokers, our shipping agent at the port in Darwin. There we delivered the customs documents. Once the containers are unloaded and are at PJ's area, we will be informed, then the quarantine examination will be done first and we will know whether our intensive DeLorean-cleaning day in Singapore was enough for the strict import regulations of Australia.
On the way back we stopped at a shopping center, there we bought beverages for the next days. The store is right next to a historic Navy station with two impressive rockets at the entrance.
For dinner we had an appointment with Rod Coverdale, the owner of the only DeLorean in Darwin and the Northern Territories. His right-hand drive DeLorean has some unconventional conversions (interior, Turbo), but it is a tip-top maintained car. We will continue our lively conversation tomorrow evening at Rod’s home; he spontaneous invited us for barbecue and he will show us his car collection.

11/22/2015 Bali (Indonesia) - Darwin (Australia)
After eight days of holiday together with our families on Bali we left to Australia today. Tomorrow on Monday the 23rd November 2015 the container ship with the Deloreans on board will reach Darwin and our shipping agent needs the cars and the toll documents locally.
Thanks to a 2.5 hour direct flight from Bali to Darwin with AirAsia we reached Australia in the evening.
The passport and luggage check was done quickly and a taxi brought us to the booked hotel Ramada Suites Zen-Quarter. After a short tour through the nearby city, getting some cash at an ATM and a delicious pizza we had our first night ’Down Under’.

11/13/2015 Singapore
On our last day in Singapore we had a Singapore Sling cocktail, in the Long Bar at the famous Raffles Hotel.
Then we visited Singapore's most famous shopping street, the Orchard Road, where countless designer shops and shopping malls with christmas decoration expect wealthy customers.
