Day 36
10/10/2015 Mumbai (India)
Today by 10 a.m. we booked an individual sightseeing tour through Mumbai. Travelling by car we discovered the modern and the historical parts of Mumbai.
We had a first stop at the ‘Gateway to India’ which is the most famous monument of Mumbai. Right next to it there is the ‘Taj Mahal Palace Hotel’, one of the best and probably most expensive hotels in whole India. Innumerable masses of tourists and small traders were all over the place in front of the gate, which was built in 1924.
Next stop were the ‘Hanging Gardens’ of Mumbai, under which the enormous water reserves for the megacity are, and a small market nearby.
Culture is nice but entertainment too. Thus we asked the driver to bring us over to the ‘Toys for Boys’ exhibition which is held this weekend. Here we found cars, motorcycles, watches, vine and lots of other ‘Toys for Boys’. Andre insisted on test-driving a Segway-clone.
By the way, here in India blowing the horn while driving is a must. Who does not use the horn every five seconds is doing something wrong… the lorries are even claiming the use of the horn while overtaking!

10/09/2015 Mumbai (India)
After having breakfast we did a scouting expedition into the nearby area. Therefor just some pictures...
In the early afternoon we got an information from our shipping agent : The ship with the Deloreans will arrive this evening in Mumbai and for that he urgently needs our original papers. So we took a taxi and visited Mustafa at Sadikally Esoofally & Co. in the docklands of Mumbai.
We are in cheerful spirits and hope that we can fetch up the cars on Thursday and can drive the first stage in India on Wednesday.

10/08/2015 Dubai(UAE) - Mumbai (India)
Travel day…
At eight clock in the morning we went to the Dubai airport by taxi, checked in and started on time at noon to Mumbai.
The onboard journal from Jet Airway was apparently made for us, there was report about the museums in Sharjah ( which we almost all have visited) and also a report about Belfast (where the Deloreans were built)
After we landed in Mumbai we passed the immigration and the customs quickly, took the first money from an ATM and booked a taxi to our hotel ( 25 miles to drive , charge 17 $). In the absence of storage space (in the trunk was the natural gas tank) our luggage took place on the roof and was fixed there.
On the ride through Mumbai with the for Europeans chaotic traffic we got our first impressions from India
After about 90 minutes drive we reached the ‘Peace Park Hotel’ , our residence for the next 6 days.
Current time difference to Germany + 3,5 hours.

10/07/2015 Sharjah (UAE)
On our last day in the United Arab Emirates we visited the Sharjah Aquarium.
Some school classes also were there in the morning, accordingly loud and lively it was there. Like all museums and exhibitions in the Emirates everything here is kept spotlessly clean. We even were lucky and were able to watch the feeding of different sea creatures.
Opposite is the 'Maritime Museum', which shows the history of boatbuilding and pearl diving of the Arabian Peninsula in a good way.
Our booked hotel here in Sharjah was the 'Al Hamra Hotel', price-performance ratio is very well and we recommend it highly!
Our recommendation: Just around the corner of the Al Hamra there is a Pakistani restaurant 'Nayaab Handi', which evolved into our haunt. Just try the Chicken Handi (poultry in spicy sauce). Really delicious!
Tomorrow at 12 o’clock we fly with Flight Jet Airways 9W541 from Dubai to Mumbai.
