Today we delivered the Deloreans to our shipping company 'Eimskip' at the harbour in Portland. Now we're waiting for the customs schedule (expected on Monday). Then the cars will be put in containers and go on their way to Iceland.

Our last driving day in the USA led us from New Jersey through five more U.S. states.
This day wasn't very nice to us, we were about two hours in a traffic jam with stop and go at the George Washington Bridge, only to get out of New York.
Shortly after New York it started raining very heavy and it didn't stop until we reached Portland. These were about 300 miles (480 km) of driving under very difficult conditions. All three of us were happy as we arrived at today's target by 4 p.m.
Here is the Canada/USA-part of our Delorean World Tour from the 23rd of February until the 7th of April 2016. 10250 miles / 16500 km in 46 days.
And the already travelled route / distance of the Delorean World Tour since the 5th of September 2015. More than 23000 miles / 37000 km

Probably the last refueling stop in the US, because we have to hand over the cars with nearly empty tanks in Portland / Maine.
Today we drove through Manhattan with our Deloreans - a highlight of the World Tour.
For non-New Yorkers the traffic there is just chaotic, but it always somehow goes on. Half of Manhattan is currently under construction and double parking is quite normal, so we made the two-hour drive through the Big Apple just stop-and-go.
From Long Island we drove through the Midtown Tunnel, then on Park Avenue and Broadway, past the Wall Street to Battery Park, back on the Church Street, 7th Avenue and the Lincoln Tunnel to New Jersey to our todays's hotel.

The third last Delorean-driving day in the US led us from Leesburg / Virginia over Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey to West Sayville / Long Island (New York State) today.
From New Jersey we passed the Verrazano Bridge south of New York City to Long Island.
There we visited 'P.J. Grady ', a Delorean workshop and parts center, led by owner Rob Grady personally. Rob welcomed us and showed us the workshop and warehouse. We will also meet him at the Delorean Euro Festival on May 26th in Belfast.
We have visited almost all Delorean repair shops and parts suppliers in the United States as part of our World Tour! To our knowledge, this has never been done before.
