Our route today led from Eugene, Oregon to the Pacific coast and then along the legendary Coastal Highway 1. The first 60 miles we drove from the upcountry through densely wooded hills to the coast.

And there we understand why the Highway 1 is called  one of the most beautiful routes in the world. The road leads in large parts alongside the sea and offers breathtaking views of fantastic coastal
sceneries and beaches. Here the pictures, they speak for themselves:
