11/01/2015 Tak - Bangkok (Thailand)
Finally back driving Delorean without rumble tracks and potholes.
After about 2.5 weeks India, Nepal and Myanmar, the ride on the Thai highways and roads was a recovery for cars and drivers. We drove progressing rapidly, and made around 250 miles in under six hours. Only two miles before the present day goal, we took the wrong highway exit, which cost us 45 minutes traffic jam in Bangkok's dense city traffic.
After checking in at the hotel we headed directly to experience something Bangkok sightseeing. With a longtail boat we drove over the Chao Phraya River and into neighboring Khlongs, followed by a visit to the temple WatPhoo with the famous Lying Buddha at. Riding back to the hotel we used a traditional Thai tuk-tuk whose driver drove us rapidly through the streets of Bangkok.
In the evening we visit the Patpong Night Market and admired the at all booth offered copied brand goods, ranging from T-shirts, Girdle, bags, watches etc.
