Half hour after Eureka the 'Avenue of the Giants' starts, a 15 mile avenue through the Humboldt Redwoods State Park, the street is lined with sequoias with a partial heights of more than 100 meters/330 feet. You can drive through some very big trees with a car.

The journey continued on Highway 101 toward San Francisco. In Petaluma, 60 km / 40 miles prior to our destination, we had a meeting with the actor Jeffrey Weissman in his 'Red Barn Ranch'. Jeffrey played George McFly ( Marty´s father in 2015) in  “Back to the future Part II “ and he came up with a lot of stories and background informations from the movies.

We were not lucky with the weather in San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge was only seen dimly in dense fog.

In the evening we met with Richard Wipfler and his wife Kathy for dinner. He is a Delorean first owner from 1981 (!) and had already given us support in advance with hints for our stay and organized tomorrow's sightseeing tour together with other Delorean Owners of San Francisco.
