Day 177

02/27/2016 San Francisco - Arroyo Grande (USA)

Our Delorean World Tour through the USA seems to arouse growing interest, for today's route from San Francisco to Arroyo Grande on half way to Los Angeles we had three requests from Delorean drivers, who would like to meet us.

Deliberately we didn't take the freeway today, but the scenic more beautiful and famous route over the California Highway 1 along the Pacific coast. Each curve offers new and breathtaking views on the steep coast with deep cliffs and long sandy beaches.

In Santa Cruz we met three Delorean owners at a short stop. Organizer Luigi Oppido had informed the local TV channel, that were on site with a reporter and Wolfgang had to answer questions in front of the camera.

By chance there was Terry Hershner on the parking, known as 'Electric Terry' (Google!), he holds several records with rides on his electrically driven motorcycle.

Shortly before today's destination Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach, A.G expected us with his time machine. We three from the team agree, that this is probably the best time machine we've seen on the tour so far, it was built by Bruce Coulombe (a well known name for insiders!).
A.G. accompanied us to the motel, where shortly later Lee Edmonson came as well, also a local Delorean owner. We all met for a  common dinner and there we realized again, that between Delorean fans the conversations topic never runs dry.
